Valentina is a South London singer-songwriter with Italian and Filipino roots, blending soul, R&B and jazz with cinematic and orchestral influences. She grew up listening to artists like Amy Winehouse and Adele, with RAYE becoming a more recent influence, alongside a broader mix of music that helped shape her sound.

Music has always been a huge part of her life. She grew up in a loud, close-knit family where music was always around, and her grandfather, an opera singer who rarely went anywhere without his guitar, was a big part of that. She has always been drawn to music that tells a story, and storytelling has become a huge part of the kind of artist she wants to be.

Most of what Valentina writes comes from her own experiences, her thoughts on life and the way she sees the world. Her songs are little pieces of her life and she wants that storytelling to always feel honest and authentic.

She doesn’t have it all figured out and doesn’t pretend that she does. She just wants to make music that feels real and hopefully makes someone listening feel something too.
